With such undertakings in the area of liver transplantations, the Military Medical Academy has reached the number of 18, and definitely introduced that most complex surgical procedure into its routine clinical practice.  It is also actively involved with all its medical and technological resources in the National Action "Prolong the Life", and thoroughly prepares itself for candidacy for the National Referral Center for parenchymal organ transplantation. In that context, the MMA regularly notifies the Biomedicine Department of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Health about those activities.
